Headline: How can we live happily, sustainably and connected with each other?

The aim of this event is to explore ways and key elements for a happy, sustainable and connected life. We will look at the paradigm shift from focusing on external growth to the importance of inner growth and changing mindsets. The event intents to inspire participants to discover and practice sustainable ways of living that promote both personal well-being and societal sustainability.

Speakers:

  • Sister Jayanti is the Additional Administrative Head of The Brahma Kumaris, the world’s largest spiritual organisation to be led by women. Since 2009, Sister Jayanti has led The Brahma Kumaris delegation to the COP Climate Change Conferences. She has spoken internationally on the link between a change of consciousness and climate change, and how the power of thought influences everything that is happening in the world around us. She maintains that a spiritual life supports a move away from materialistic patterns of consumption. www.bkjayanti.org
  • Prof. Mark Lawrence is scientific director at the Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS) in Potsdam and an integrative scientist who addresses key challenges of the Anthropocene. He is bringing together and applying a wide range of academic expertise in his team, including his own background in atmospheric science. Mark further is going beyond this interdisciplinary foundation to also involve societal actors in a transdisciplinary approach. His main focal topics include air pollution, climate change, climate geoengineering, environment-related governance of vulnerable regions like the Himalayas and the Arctic, and the interface between sustainability and spirituality.   • Christian Greiser serves C-suite executives, decision makers, entrepreneurs and professionals as Coach and Advisor, including DAX 30 companies. He is recognized as a distinguished expert in leadership development and combines a feeling for people topics with an experienced business perspective. Christian Greiser draws on 30 years of coaching, strategy consulting and line management experience.   3. Cultivating connectedness: New work and communication culture. Cultivating well-being and togetherness in organizations, supported by appropriate structures and leadership.

The speakers of the evening will speak in English. Simultaneous translation into German via headphones will be provided.
